WhatsApp bulk messaging on the Cloud API, only for people who opted in.

We send broadcasts through Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API, the hosted version of the WhatsApp Business Platform. A message the business starts has to be a template WhatsApp has approved, and it goes only to people who opted in.

About this service

WhatsApp bulk marketing is how a business sends one message to many customers who already agreed to hear from it. It is not the WhatsApp app on a phone, and it is not a tool that scrapes a group. It runs on the WhatsApp Business Platform through the Cloud API, which is the hosted version of the WhatsApp API. Meta runs the connection. You do not stand up your own WhatsApp servers. The older on-premises API is the one Meta has been moving businesses off.

A message the business starts cannot be free-form text. WhatsApp only allows a template, and WhatsApp reviews that template before it can send. Templates sit in a category, such as marketing or utility. A marketing template is the one used for an offer or an announcement. We write it with you, submit it, and wait for approval. We do not send around that review.

There is a separate rule for replies. If a customer messages you first, you can answer in ordinary text for 24 hours. After that window, the next message from the business has to be a template again. Bulk marketing lives on the template side: a list of people who opted in, a template that was approved, and a send that goes out in batches.

A bought list is refused, and so is a whole phone book. Every template includes a way to opt out. We test the send on your own phone before a customer sees it. If people report a template, we stop it. You receive a count of what was sent, what was delivered, and who asked to stop. WhatsApp charges the business for template messages. That rate is WhatsApp's. We put the expected cost in the proposal before a campaign goes out, and we do not invent a number of our own.
