Most teams settle into the same short routine. Here it is for a CA firm. A company workspace skips the client step.
- 1Clients: check that the business exists, with its name, TIN, and VAT registration number if it has one.
- 2Documents: open that client and drop in the files. You can keep working while AutoBooks reads them.
- 3Wait until each file shows Extracted. The list updates by itself.
- 4Review: open the same client. Check each row, fix anything that is wrong, confirm the ledger, and reject rows that should not be booked.
- 5Add to trial balance when a row should count in your AutoBooks trial balance.
- 6Send to Tally when a row should go into Tally Prime. The connector must be running.
The first spreadsheet of a new layout
The first time you upload an Excel or CSV file with a new column layout, AutoBooks asks you to map the columns once. Later files with the same headers map themselves.
