After a document is read, AutoBooks tries to place each line on the client's chart of accounts. It works through these steps in order and stops at the first match.
- 1Keyword rules you saved. For example, description contains Bolt, use Transport.
- 2Vendor memory. If this supplier name or TIN was booked to a ledger before, that ledger is reused.
- 3Fixed rules. Z-Reports go to Sales Revenue.
- 4An AI suggestion that matches the wording to your existing ledgers.
- 5A similarity match to a ledger that looks close.
- 6If nothing fits, a suggested new ledger name that you can create or dismiss.
